Cookery Demonstration and Lunch. Saturday 9th May, 12-3pm.
I am very excited to be welcoming cook and baker, Cherie Denham and photographer, Andrew Montgomery to celebrate their award-winning cookbooks, The Irish Kitchen and The Irish Bakery.
Andrew Montgomery is a world-renowned photographer and someone I have admired throughout my career. Like me, he has set up his own independent publishing imprint, Montgomery Press and is partnering with the hugely talented Northern Irish cook, Cherie Denham to create the most beautiful, useful cookbooks. As Diana Henry says “I am just sorry that I rarely see this kind of book these days. I think it’s pure gold’.
These perfectly-crafted books celebrate the rich culinary heritage of Ireland. They’re filled with time-honoured recipes with a modern twist, heartwarming stories, and stunning photography.
Tickets are £85 and the menu is:
Damson Gin Spritz
Guinness Wheaten Bread
Homemade Butter
Chalk Stream Smoked Trout
Honey, Mustard, Thyme Chicken
Parsnip Colcannon
Cavolo Nero & Tenderstem Broccoli
Rhubarb, Pistachio & Hazelnut Frangipane Tart
Yoghurt Cream
Natural wine included on the table/homemade soft drinks.
Start time is 12noon finishing around 3pm. Cherie will be demonstrating the dishes from her delicious menu and Andrew will be answering your questions throughout the lunch. If you’ve been to my events before, you’ll know it’s all very informal and relaxed.
There will of course be the chance to buy signed, personalised copies of their beautiful books and you can browse my retail range too.
